Our History

Grupo Tracsa’s growth story is told from the diversification of its business units to their consolidation as independent companies with a common purpose.

1974

The history of Grupo Tracsa begins with the founding of Tracsa Cat®, an authorized Caterpillar® dealer that started operations with four branches in the Midwest region of Mexico to serve the construction, agricultural and mining segments with solutions for sales and rental of new and pre-owned machinery, as well as support in spare parts and services.

This first milestone will be the basis for future expansions that will position Tracsa Cat as a market leader, which is reflected in the opening of new branches in San Luis Potosi (1978), Tepic (1980) and Morelia (1981).

The first division within Tracsa Cat is created: Tracsa Industrial, focused on the commercialization of new and used material handling equipment, as well as its respective spare parts, service and rental fleet.

This new approach will mean the first internal restructuring that will allow the company to expand in the following years.
